In 2008, we started our Chatt for a Smile program to benefit the Smile Train. They are an outstanding charitable organization that provides free operations for children with cleft lip and palate. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where millions of children suffer with unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly. They are not allowed to attend school or hold a job. The Smile Train has provided 650,000 free operations. They also train doctors and medical professionals for the same purpose. Together, we help make a difference.
On January 21, 2010, we were honored by the Smile Train for being a Major Sponsor. Below is a photo of the owner, Greg Washio and his daughter-model Christina with the Smile Train President and co-founder, Brian Mullaney. Brian is a true visionary that transformed the non-profit world by applying business principles that greatly improved their efficiency and impact.
